Dear Taipei,
If your plans are lacking a certain magic to them this weekend, how about checking out the Witch Festival?
It’s an outdoor music festival featuring over 90 local bands which starts today (!) until this Sunday in Xindian, New Taipei City. As if that wasn’t cool enough, it is set in the mountains. So whilst you’re chilling out listening to some of the best talent Taiwan has to offer, you can just casually gaze at the perfectly serene backdrop of mother nature. Not too shabby, huh?

Double, double toil and trouble: Witch Festival 20th anniversary
If you’re into live music, and especially if you haven’t had the chance to attend a music festival here yet, you really have no excuse to miss this event.
I’m sure you’ll have a cackling time!
(Yes- managed to slip in one more witch reference! As you’ll see if you read my article, I thoroughly enjoyed putting in a bit of cheek throughout it! I couldn’t help myself…)

Hi Hales!
Apologies for the last minute write up, I only just got a tip off about it two days before it started!
It’s on today again if you have time!
